Social copy

Clients are required to provide their official social media handles (ie: Facebook, X, Instagram) for tagging and content association purposes

When an official account handle is not available for brand tagging (ie: LinkedIn, Dianomi), the client name will be highlighted within the main post copy, for example:

“Partner Content by [Client Name]”

All social posts will be promoted via the relevant FT Partner Content social profiles, which include clear Partner Content labelling.

Social copy guidelines

Social headlines

These should be 65–70 characters, and communicate an idea or highlight the key message(s) for each article. They can include questions, brief quotes and calls to action.

Please provide 3 headlines for each article. The headlines will guide the creation of copy for social media posts by the FT’s Content Marketing team.

Social post copy

Provide at least 3 copy options. Each option should be around 100 characters, including spaces.

Examples:

  • Growing oil demand is turning Asia into a global price-maker
  • How is increased consumption in Asian economies affecting the oil market?
  • Will machines run the world? Steve Wozniak gives his thoughts

Please note: final copy remains at FT’s discretion and will include brand tagging.
